Job Description: Edits footage for morning news on Macintosh Final Cut Pro online editing system. Creatively selects appropriate footage for air. Oversees quality of news video. Files and archives morning and evening news footage. Posts material to station website, including raw and original content. Consistently generates and submits ideas for news stories. Updates social media outlets representing our station's newsgathering efforts. Edits other projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications Necessary: College degree preferred. Final Cut Pro or other non-linear editing experience required. Videography skills a plus. Organizational skills a must. Must be able to accept constructive direction and criticism designed to enhance individual's performance. Must make decisions under deadline pressure. Must be capable of interacting positively and productively with other employees.
