Jennifer grew up in Sullivan, Illinois where she was active in cheerleading, show choir and cross country. Jennifer went to Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois where she majored in Communication Studies and minored in Meteorological Broadcasting.
Jennifer graduated with honors in 2006 and then continued her education at Mississippi State University in order to complete her meteorology degree.
Professionally, Jennifer started her career at WCIA-TV in Champaign, IL (CBS) where she worked for 5 years. She started as the weekend meteorologist, moved to mornings and then transitioned to nights.
Jennifer and her husband have been married for 3 years and have a daughter, Stella Jane. She was born in August. They also have a dog named Fenway. The name was inspired by her breed, the Boston Terrier. They figured it was appropriate to give her a name inspired by Boston and she wasn't a fan of "Green Monster," so Fenway stuck!
Professional Awards: BEA National Collegiate Weather Broadcaster of the Year (2005), Outstanding Young Alumni Eastern Illinois University (2010), IBA Silver Dome Award: Best Weathercaster (2011)
