Larry Hawley was born and raised in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Media Studies. Before starting at WXIN as our Sports Reporter, Larry worked at WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina where he was a Sports Reporter/Photographer/Anchor for two years. Before that he was a News Reporter/Photographer at WVTV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Larry got his start at WICD in Champaign, Illinois in 2002.
The best part for Larry about being a Sports Reporter is telling sports stories in a unique way. He feels it's a challenge everyday, and enjoys the wide variety of sports Indiana has to cover.
