Ray Cortopassi, a dynamic and well-loved member of our Fox59 morning team, joined WXIN in September 2009.  After the morning news, Ray files reports for Fox 59 News “First at Four” and “News at 10.”

Ray has been a news anchor and reporter in Indianapolis for more than a decade.   A native of the Chicago area, Ray came to Indiana after working as a broadcaster in Las Vegas and northern Michigan.  He started first as a print reporter for a local newspaper and at the famous City News Bureau of Chicago, phoning in stories to re-write editors from the benches of police stations around the city.  Over the years, Ray has been honored with Associated Press Awards for his reporting and an Emmy nomination for anchoring.

A co-founder of a community theatre, Ray enjoys occasional acting and producing for the Off-Main Street Players in Zionsville.  There, he also serves as the executive director of the Chamber of Commerce and on several economic development boards and committees throughout Boone County.

He and his wife, Leslie, have four children, three boys and a girl.
