The Disney Fantasy reached another milestone ahead of its debut later this year. The fourth and newest Disney Cruise Line ship was floated out at the Meyer Werft shipyards in Papenberg, Germany on Sunday, Jan. 8.

The float out was the Fantasy's first taste of water. Construction is still progressing aboard the ship. Recent photos added to our gallery show progress on the various parts of the exterior and interior including the addition of Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse as the two characters to grace the stern.

You can also see progress on Satellite Falls pool deck, the main dining room of the Enchanted Garden, a Monsters, Inc.-themed area of the Oceaneer Club, Buena Vista Theatre and the Deck 11 family pool as well as shots of the exterior.

The Wonder is currently based on the Pacific Coast and the Magic will continue to sail out of Port Canavearl until Fantasy's arrival, when it will migrate to New York.
