The Australian man accused of breaking into a family's home and strapping a fake bomb to a teen girl's neck had his first appearance in court.
On Tuesday, Paul Peters appeared before a judge in a Kentucky courtroom.
The alleged crime happened in Australia, but Peters was arrested 30 minutes outside Louisville at his ex-wife's house.
The judge said Australia has 60-days to file formal extradition papers.
Until then, Peters will be held without bond.
