Brownsburg Teacher Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography
June 25th, 2009, Brownsburg Police Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jason T. Krockenbereger, age 35, for (16) counts of possession of child pornography. Krockenberger was arrested at his home located on E CR 450 N, Brownsburg.

Krockenberger had taken his computer to a local Brownsburg business for repair. This business contacted the Brownsburg Police when they discovered what they believed to be child pornography videos. Brownsburg Detectives interviewed the owner and employee of the business and then obtained a search warrant for the computer.

As members of the ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force, Brownsburg Detectives, assisted by other members of the ICAC Task Force, completed a computer forensics preview examination and discovered numerous child pornography videos and images.

Krockenberger came in voluntarily for an interview with Brownsburg Detectives and during this interview he admitted to being in possession of child pornography videos on his home computer and his laptop computer. He told Detectives that he would take the laptop computer with him to his classroom at Pike High School in Indianapolis and view the videos and images there as well.

Pike Township Police Department and Pike High School Officials were instrumental in assisting Brownsburg Detectives in gathering computers and other evidence from Krockenberger's classroom and with the investigation of this case.

Chief Carroll states "Unfortunately for our community, these types of investigations are increasing. We will continue as well to actively pursue any hint of child exploitation in any form".
