IU fraternity suspended after student transported to hospital

According to a press release, a student at the university was taken to a Bloomington hospital with an extremely high blood alcohol level.

Indiana University's Kappa Sigma fraternity is forced to suspend all activities as of Wednesday pending a formal investigation.

“Indiana University is committed to creating a values based student organization and fraternity and sorority community which fosters a culture of care,” read the press release. “It is expected that Kappa Sigma Fraternity will fully cooperate with this investigation. Once the investigation is complete charges may be filled under the Student Code of Conduct.”

IU officials are investigating and expect the fraternity to cooperate with the investigation.
