This morning police are looking for a guy who tried to carjack a man, then shot him in the process.
It happened on the Eastside of Downtown in the 2200 block of East 12th Street. According to the victim's cousin he was shot in the shoulder because he refused to give up his truck to the suspect.

Around 10:00 last night, Jerry Hoskin was driving to his cousin's house, when he started having trouble with his red truck.
He pulled over in the 2200 block of East 12th. When he did, an unidentified man walked up and asked if Hoskin needed help, then pointed a gun in his face through the window telling him to get out and give him the keys.
Hoskin said no and that's when the suspect shot him in the shoulder. Hoskin hit the gas, got away, and managed to drive the rest of the way to his cousin's house. That's when she ran outside to help him.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
