INDIANAPOLIS -
Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a late-night homicide on the city's Northeast side. Investigators say 24-year-old Marquis Hawkins was shot multiple times outside of the Hearts Landing Apartments near 42nd and Post Road Friday night.
Police say Hawkins was with his girlfriend setting off fireworks near their apartment.
hey say Hawkins left the area to purchase more fireworks. When his girlfriend went outside to check on him, she found him lying on the ground.
Police are looking for a black male, 18 years of age, approximately 5'3" -5'5", slim build, wearing a white t-shirt seen running from the area armed with a handgun.
