It was a major victory for House Democrats Thursday.

A Marion County judge issued a temporary restraining order against the fines they have been receiving for their protest of the right-to-work bill.

The order stated the fines will still be imposed, but money will not actually be deducted from lawmakers' expense checks.

House Speaker Brian Bosma said his party will follow the order, even if they do not agree with it.

"It’s an atmosphere of threats and intimidation and it’s not the best place to make law but we won't be intimidated,” said Bosma.

Initially, only three Democrats were involved in the lawsuit, but after the judge's decision, more are expected to join.

The Democrats said they are drafting a constitutional amendment for a statewide vote on right-to-work legislation.
