Lawmakers at the statehouse are looking at a bill that would fund full-day kindergarten.

State Representative Jeff Espich has proposed a plan that would allow the state spend an extra $80 million to cover the costs of full-day kindergarten.

The extra money would come from the corporate tax collections found by the state last year. That money was discovered after a software error failed to put the money in the state's general fund.

If passed, the funding change would begin in the fall.
