WATERLOO, Ill. (AP) — Investigators say a southwestern Illinois man accused of strangling his wife and their two sons considered getting his vasectomy reversed so he could father more children after he divorced.

Such details are included in newly filed search warrants in the Monroe County case involving Christopher Coleman.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Coleman. He's pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the deaths of his wife and two sons. Their bodies were found in their Columbia home in May.

Authorities have alleged that Coleman was having an affair with a former high school friend of his wife. The search warrants say the mistress was planning to move from Florida to the St. Louis area. They also indicate she and Coleman were talking about possible baby names.
