The children end up with no REAL moral compass to guide their lives by. If Dad doesn't have to accept the TRUTH (it is not a myth) then why should the children. Without the TRUTH as a guide line, then there is NO reason to be morally good. Our standards for our laws stem from this TRUTH. It only makes sense that they be taught why they need to follow Him.
At any rate, I know he will have visitation rights, which he should. He is their father. I never once said he shouldn't. I was simply pointing out that the children are going to suffer for this struggle between the parents, which should have been settled before they even had kids.
I still pray they they come to know the TRUTH and follow Him.
The ruling is TOTALLY unconstitutional if his religious beliefs (or lack thereof) are, in any way, considered "negative" to his case.
Whether he is atheist or agnostic, a THINKING person such as this man should not have to earn parental rights in a court of law!
The DRAGGING that these children will be going through will be far more emotionally difficult when a parent is considered to be an inferior or less elligible parent based on a parting of the ways with the major mythology in this country. To have a previous poster consider his honest and true worldview problematic is a reflection of her limited ability to understand what a good parent looks like.
I support his fight for his parental rights and I hope that Indiana is able to maintain the integrity of their state governmental system by making reasonable decisions such as this one.
It is a shame your children have to be dragged though this sort of mess. They WILL have emotional issues because Daddy will constantly be disputing what their mother is teaching them. I pray the children will come to know the Truth and follow Him all of the days of their lives. I pray this for you too, Dad.
God does care and wants to be VERY involved in your daily life. I live it every day.
