Car Crashes into Broad Ripple Canal
Indianapolis firefighters were called to the Central Canal in Broad Ripple early Tuesday morning after a car drove into the water. It happened around 2:30 a.m. just south of 63rd St. on Broadway. Officers tell Fox59 it appears the driver failed to make a turn and drove into the canal. There were six people inside the car at the time of the accident. All made it out of the car safely, however two were taken to a local hospital. The cause of the accident is not clear, however alcohol, speed, and the weather may have played a role.
