A woman who had just received custody again of her children, had them removed from her home for a second time when police found them home alone.
Police say Alicia Clark corrected all of the things that investigators told her to fix in order to keep her kids after they were removed from her care on December 28th. Police had arrived at the apartment in the 4100 block of Brentwood Drive where they say they discovered the children who ranged in ages from two to eight. The kids reportedly complained of hunger to officers.
Investigators say there was no food, stove or refrigerator in the home.
Officers were called back to the home Saturday after receiving a tip from a neighbor that the children were home alone again. According to the police report, the children were instructed by Clark not to answer the door especially for police officers.
According to authorities, Clark called the house while investigators and Child Protective Services were there. She told them she couldn't leave her job at a nearby Walmart.
Officers attempted to arrest Clark, but she was not at work and never returned home. All five children are in child protective custody. Clark will likely face felony child neglect charges.
