Indianapolis—
The Colts are where they're supposed to be in January: the playoffs. Mid-season, when the team was 6-6, that was in doubt. That uncertainty has led to the availability of an "unseasonably healthy" number of playoff tickets.Renny Harrison of Fanfare Tickets says tickets for Saturday's game against the New York Jets are "as inexpensive as any regular season game."
Harrison says upper deck tickets start at $70; lower level seats are available beginning at $125. In addition, the team released 5,000 tickets late Monday morning.
Playoff tickets are available at the Lucas Oil Stadium ticket office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000 or online.
Meantime, Reebok Sports Apparel on Indianpolis' east side has shipped out its AFC South Championship tee shirts. The apparel will be available at the Colts Pro Shop at Lucas Oil Stadium and at Circle Centre.
"This is something that happens every year, but it never gets old," said Joe Cripe of Reebok.
It almost didn't.
"Our hearts skipped a beat," Cripe said. "We have our art prepared in advance of them winning certain championships and we wouldn't want any of that work to be for naught."
Neither would the Colts. And neither would the fans.
