Common weight loss myths that every woman should know

If you ask someone who has tried to lose weight and didn't, why didn't they? I can bet you $100 they had reasons why and most would be myths.

Wouldn't you like to hear them now so that when you make your life changing decision to live and eat right you will already know the myths so you won't be stumbled by them? I really wish someone would have told me so I wouldn't have waited so long to make that decision!

So with saying all that….

1. Avoiding or not eating meals will help me to lose weight
NEW FLASH - I did that and it didn't work. You still need the nutrition for your body to live and plus you will gain more weight not eating because your body is holding on to anything you do put in.

2. Your genes will dictate your weight!
Have you ever heard someone say "your mother was unhealthy and your father was unhealthy, so that means you are going be unhealthy?" Not true! They may be unhealthy, but that doesn't mean you are going to be that way, and if they are not practicing good eating habits and exercise then for sure they will be unhealthy. But that shouldn't have any effect on you if you have decided to change your healthy lifestyle.

3. It's alright if you switch from one diet to another
I'm going to tell you now that the "Working Women's Weight Loss Coach" doesn't do diets at all! Diets don't work unless you are going to do them every day for the rest of your life. So right away I say 'heck no' to diets. But I do know that if you are on one, going back and forth from one to another is not going to do anything, but mess you up. Your body gets confused and will have nothing but negative effects on you. So if you are looking for quick weight loss ways, think if a "diet" is right for you!

4. You should avoid fats
Not true. There are good fats and bad fats and you need the good ones. So don't avoid the good ones, your body needs those in order to have positive effects in your journey of a healthy life style and weight loss

5. You should skip meals and get rid of calories
Skipping meals is not good and getting rid of too many calories is not good either, but if your daily intake is 3,000 or more calories a smart thing to do is cut back your intake to 2,220. You will see quick weight loss results in no time.

6. Changing to sugar free food will surely help you lose weight
Don't bank on it. This is one of the worse myths in the history of a Healthy Hott Chick! A lot of those fat free and sugar free items can be worse than the ones with real sugar in it! Depending on your health, it is much better to use items that are not sugar free. Most artificial sweeteners trick your mind to think you are still hungry and will have you wanting more. And the top reason why Tiphanny, "The Working Women Weight Loss Coach" doesn't like the sugar free items is because eating way to many will act as a laxative. Now tell me, do you really want that?

7. A strict diet can speed up your metabolism
There is only one way to speed up your metabolism and that is through exercise and proper eating. You don't have to make it strict or boring when you are coming into a healthy life style.

So these weight loss tips will help you along the way. It is not impossible for you to get where you want to go, just stay away from the myths and you will be fine. Tiphanny, "The Working Women Weight Loss Coach" is here for you. On your mark, get set, GROW!
