Former Purdue student spared prison time for deadly shooting prank
A former Purdue University student is spared prison time for the shooting that killed a friend.

23 year-old Cory Lynch of Carmel was sentenced to two years on community corrections, which means he'll serve a combination of work release and house arrest.

Lynch pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in the death of 21 year-old Landon Siela of Ft. Wayne last summer. He was killed at an off-campus apartment during an alcohol-fueled prank.
