Thousands of Hoosiers are looking forward to hearing the Dalai Lama speak in Indianapolis Friday.
A crowd of 10,000 people are expected to be in attendance at the event at Conseco Fieldhouse. Money raised from ticket sales will help fund area food pantries. He will be introduced by Hoosier native, John Mellencamp.
The Dalai Lama spoke to the media Thursday at the Indiana Buddhist Center founded by his late brother. The Dalai Lama said he hoped the center will carry on the spiritual work that inspired his brother.
