A woman who later admitted to drinking two "jack and cokes" while taking pain pills showed up at Franklin Central High School Monday afternoon. School officials said the woman appeared to be drunk when she stumbled at the parent check-in table. She also smelled of alcohol.The woman, identified as 35-year-old Denise Cochran, told school officials she was on pain pills. She then began to open her purse and pulled out six different prescription bottles in her name, for pain and depression.
Police arrived and administered a portable breath test. Cochran tested .158, nearly twice the legal limit. It was then, according to police, she admitted to drinking alcohol along with the pain medication. She was taken into custody and faces charges of public intoxication. As she was led out of the school, police gave Cochran a verbal warning not to trespass on Franklin Township school property unless prior arrangements have been made with the school.
