An Indianapolis-area family didn't expect part of their NFL Experience to include beers that cost $1,497.50 each.

The family, who asked Fox59 to not reveal their identity, showed us their credit card statement showing the two beers that were supposed to be $14. Instead, the total charge ended up being $2,995.00.

"We just went up there and grabbed two beers signed it, got our drinks and went on," said the credit card owner.

The overcharge happened Jan. 28 inside the Indiana Convention Center at one of the NFL Experience concession stands.

The family admits there is a lesson to be learned.

"Even though there may be lines and people waiting and everyone wants to get through quickly, still make sure you check the cost of everything and when you get home check your statements because you never know with such a big event there could be an error somewhere."

Centerplate, the Convention Center concession manager, said late Wednesday night that the charge had been reversed.
