Tuesday, FBI agents were scheduled to continue their investigation of the Bisard crash by interviewing officers who were at the scene that day on August 6th.
Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard (R) told our news gathering partners at WIBC Tuesday morning that he's expecting new revelations to come out of the FBI and internal affairs investigation of the Officer Bisard crash.
This news comes as an open records act request for expenditures by Indianapolis Public Safety Director Dr. Frank Straub is pending.
Local Demorats on the City-County Council said they want to see a whole list of expenditures since Dr. Straub took office in January.
Dr. Straub's budget goes before a City-County Council committee on September 22nd. While Mayor Ballard endorsed Dr. Straub's IMPD reforms during a speech Saturday, the mayor told Fox59 News he's waiting for the end of the FBI investigation before giving Dr. Straub and IMPD Chief Paul Ciesielski his full unqualified support.
Meanwhile, an attorney representing Ronald Davis, the accused killed of two women and two children on Hovey Street back in January 2008, wants to look at Officer David Bisard's mental health records. Bisard was the first officer on the scene of the murders.
Bisard later shot a bank robbery suspect on the south side and last month, ran down three motorcyclists killing one of them perhaps under the influence of alcohol.
Davis' attorney wants to know if Officer Bisards alcohol use played a role in the Hovey Street investigation.
