14 year old Lauren Merklein of Kiowa, Kansas was in Indianapolis with The FFA Convention when she fell ill Friday evening and collapsed in her hotel room.

She passed away on Sunday at Riley Hospital for Children.

Officials say she had a pre-existing heart condition which contributed to her death.
