Friends say Fishers teen took his own life because he was bullied.

Hamilton Southeastern High School students and staff will return to class after fall break Monday without one of their own.

Friends say 14 year old freshman, Jamarcus Bell took his own life because he was being bullied at school.

Last Wednesday, Jamarcus was found dead at his parent’s home near 131st and Brooks School Road.

On Sunday, friends gathered at a Fishers park to sign a remembrance card for Jamarcus.

Two of his close friends say Jamarcus was a good person and will be missed.

They also say he was private about his feelings and focused much of his energies on making others happy.

"I think he could have told somebody like a principal or a teacher, but I guess he would do what he would do and keep it to himself”, says Andrew Eakes.

Close friend Kevin Nicholas says, “He was a friend to us all… Made us laugh and I wish he was here right now because it's gonna be really sad at school."

Hamilton Southeastern Schools statement:
“We want to extend our condolences to the family of Jamarcus Bell. This is a tragic loss touching many in our district and community. We have plans in place for these situations and will implement them Monday as we return from fall break to support our students and staff touched by this.

Events like these cause all of us to wonder what might have led to this tragedy. As we learn more about the situation, we will be prepared to examine any circumstances that warrant our review. At this time, however, we will focus our thoughts and attention on support for the family and our school community.
