A Virginia man has started an online petition asking Governor Mitch Daniels to run for president.

Matt McKillip created the website “Run Mitch Run,” which urges others to sign a petition encouraging Daniels to run for president.  He calls Daniels “America’s most popular and effective governor.”

McKillip pushes for Daniels to declare his candidacy, stating “Your country needs you, your party needs you, your moment is now. Seek the Republican nomination, win back the White House, and undo Barack Obama’s disastrous four years of statism, cronyism, debt and decline.”
