Police reports say 38-year-old Rick Dildine used a stun gun to shock his 80-year-old grandmother Edna Dildine nearly 100 times all over her body at her home in Monrovia.

Rick Dildine was on house arrest for prior charges. He told police he's been stressed about cut time at work and loss of cash. In a police report Dildine said he was high on booze and pain pills when he came home at 1:30am September 14th and reportedly attacked his grandmother with the stun gun for three-and-a-half hours.

"I'm speechless think how would I feel if it were my grandmother," said Shannon Walts who lives in Morgan County.

Dildine reportedly had been working his shift at the Wilbur convenience store where he told police he drank two pints of vodka, a 12-pack of beer and took numerous pain and anxiety pills all at once. Edna Dildine told police her grandson came home, woke her up, and then took the stun gun from her bedside. She told police she keeps it there for protection. Edna told police her grandson then shocked the stun gun against her skin, throat, ribs, arms and brain.

"I know he drinks a lot. I've had to give him a ride home a few times," said Amber Davidson who knows Dildine through her brother.

"I wouldn't want to feel the pain she went through it's terrible," said Tom Sims, a neighbor. "As far as I know she's one of the nicest people you could meet."

Edna told police her grandson was slurring his words when he marched her through the house. She told police it felt like a cattle prod shocking her over and over. She said the pain felt like a stream of fire going through her entire body. At one point Edna said her grandson told her he was going to kill her or somebody that night. Edna told police she loves her grandson but had to turn him into because she's afraid of him.

Neighbors say Rick Dildine has been in trouble before. He told police he feels very badly about what he did to his grandmother and that she never lies. He said he loves Edna and would never hurt her intentionally. He's been charged with battery and criminal confinement and intimidation in Morgan county.
