A cemetery filled with graves is going to the highest bidder.
Grandview Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Ind., near Louisville, is going to the auction block next month.
The cemetery has a history of problems. Bodies had to be exhumed a few years ago to fix water-logged graves.
The owner is still dealing with lawsuits dating back to 2006 and the bank has now foreclosed on the property.
Now, Hoosiers whose loved ones are buried there are worried about what will happen next.
“Somebody's going to have to take it over, that's going to take care of it ‘cause it's not really been taken care of like it should be," said Hazel Wilkerson.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department will auction off the cemetery Feb. 23.
