IMPD officers experience radio outage due to Motorola's Super Bowl tests

IMPD officers experienced a 45-minute radio outage Tuesday night.

IMPD officers experienced a 45-minute radio outage Tuesday night.

Officers had to use cellphones and backup systems to communicate.

According to the department, Motorola was doing some work in preparation for the Super Bowl and it caused a problem with some routers.

IMPD said there weren’t any missed calls or dispatch runs from the problem  and the system has been restored.
