With up to 30,000 fans expected to head to Super Bowl Village a week before the game even starts, you will definitely need to know how to navigate the area. Luckily, IndianapolisSuperBowl.com has everything you need to know about transportation, road closures and parking.
Before heading out, click on the "Know Before You Go" section and choose one of two routes into downtown.
You can choose to follow the "Super Route." It runs counter-clockwise from McCarty Street on the south to Delaware Street on the east, and from Michigan Street on the north to West Street on the west.
Or take the "Bowl Route." It runs clockwise from McCarty Street on the south to MIssouri/West Street on the west and from New York Street on the north to East Street on the east, traveling west on South Street and south on Madison Avenue back to McCarty Street.
"It's very important for people to use the website that's where they're going to get all of their information recommended routes, street restrictions, parking, ADA information and much more so we encourage everybody to know before they go," said Lori Miser, volunteer co-chair of the Host Committee's Transportation and Parking Committee.
Up to 100 officers will be directing traffic, and when its time to park, choose from any of the city's parking garages (with the exception of the Moon Garage on Georgia Street) for about $20.
You can also choose to Park and Ride from three different locations for just $2 a person. If you happen to work downtown, IndyGo will give you a free lift.
