In order to cut costs, Indianapolis Public Schools laid off five principals and 29 other administrators.
The layoffs Tuesday were just the first step for Superintendent Eugene White in cutting $40 million from the budget.
The principals who received the notices are from Broad Ripple High School, Key Learning
Community, Marshall Community High School, School 61 and School 60.
White reportedly said the selected people would be laid off due to poor performance.
