A public hearing is scheduled Tuesday night to discuss the firing of Shortridge Magnet High School’s principal.

Brandon Cosby was suspended in early November as claims of insubordination and failure to provide instruction were investigated.

Indianapolis Public Schools' Superintendent Dr. Eugene White conducted an investigation into Cosby’s performance.  White stated Cosby failed to hold administrative meetings and review test scores to work on weaknesses.  Additionally, Dr. White said Cosby neglected to implement an 8-Step plan.  He also indicated Cosby had poor communication and gave little feedback.

Several parents and students gathered at various protests in support of the embattled principal.  Dr. White met with the public in November to discuss reasoning behind the suspension.
