Indiana's first Jack in the Box opened Monday morning and Hoosiers lined up for the chance to get their hands on the new fare.

"It's going to be worth it trust me," said Sal Rey.

"I went to college in Texas and we had Jack in the Box right across the street from the dorms so it's been quite a while," said Angie Reed.

The San Diego- based fast food joint opened on the Greenwood-Indianapolis line at 9 a.m.  The lines were nearly 30 deep for hours. Perhaps it's because of the diverse menu with so-called premium items like 100 percent sirloin burgers, ice cream shakes, chicken teriyaki and tacos.

"We all got tacos to go for our family members who couldn't go," said Jacqueline Salsedo.

"I'll probably be back later tonight," said Kenny Rowland.

Luckily, the restaurant is open 24-hours.

"It's something different and everyone is looking for something new and exciting and different tasting," said Dan Roome.
