Kokomo Police are requesting the public's help locating a large, dark SUV seen speeding away from the area of a shooting.
Police responded to the 1100 block of East Mulberry Street after shots were fired a little before 5 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Taurean Jones suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Jones was taken to St. Joseph Hospital before being transferred to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Investigators said the shooting stemmed from an argument. Detectives took a 17-year-old boy into custody but their investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information on the SUV seen fleeing the area is asked to call (765) 456-7017. Tipsters may qualify for a cash reward.
