KOKOMO, IN —
Investigators say Hawk kept the two kids in closets for up to three weeks at a time, bound with zip ties causing them to suffer open wounds and bruises.

Hawk was initially charged with eight counts of battery and neglect but pleaded guilty to lesser charges, to avoid going to trial.
