A Howard County newspaper carrier is being called a hero after saving a woman from a fire.
Matt Mickler was delivering papers in a Kokomo neighborhood around 4 a.m. when he saw smoke coming from a nearby condo.
He called 911 and knocked on nearby doors.
A woman heard his knocks and woke up. Neighbors say Mickler's act likely saved her life.
"I just think it was natural. I'd hope anyone would do the same thing for me, if I was in that situation," Mickler told Fox 59.
The cause of that fire remains under investigation
