The laptops, power cords, and a digital memory card were swiped from the School of Education on the downtown campus.
Investigators say someone stuffed a wad of Post-It notes inside the latch of a classroom door to prevent it from locking, allowing the thief access.
The stolen equipment is worth $12,000.
