Man found shot to death inside car

Indianapolis, Ind.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating an apparent shooting in the 2300 block of North Kenwood Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night on the report of a person shot.

When they arrived, officers found a yet to be identified man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was lying inside a vehicle with its driver's side door partially opened.

EMS crews arrived a short time later and pronounced the victim deceased.

He has not been identified pending notification of family members.

Metro Police spokesperson Kendale Adams told Fox59 an autopsy will be performed Monday where the Marion County coroner will determine the exact cause of death.

Detectives ask anyone with information into the shooting to call CrimeStoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
