Camby, Ind—
The Hendricks County Sheriff's Department is investigating a deadly crash on State Road 67 early Sunday morning.
Around 4:50 a.m., deputies responded to SR 67 at Prosperity Circle in Camby, where a man walking in the road was struck by a 2000 Honda Accord. The car was driven by 49-year-old Patti Huffman of Mooresville, who was on her way to work.
Huffman was driving northbound on SR 67, when she struck the 48-year-old man. She immediately pulled over and called 911 to report the crash.
The pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing, was walking across an unlit section of the road. He died at the scene. His identity has not been released.
Investigators are waiting for the results of a toxicology report on the deceased man.
