A 15-year-old accused of shooting a Village Pantry worker during a robbery has struck a plea deal.

Brandon Payton has agreed to plead guilty to shooting Marcy Birnell in the head last October. Under the deal, Payton will be waived to adult court, where he will receive a 35 year sentence.

A juvenile court judge must still approve waiving Payton to adult court. That ruling is expected to come on Friday.
