Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of a 5-year-old Muncie girl who died nearly two years ago.

Now, all five adults who lived in the Muncie home where Lauren McConniel was abused have been charged.

Angela Lee, Lauren’s step-grandmother, and Samra Lee, Lauren’s step aunt, were charged with neglect of a dependent and failure to report child abuse.

Lauren died in March of 2010 at Riley Hospital for Children, six days after being taken to the hospital.  She died as the result of brain damage and an unexplained ingestion of a lethal dose of salt. A forensic pediatrician also testified that Lauren's condition was the result of malnutrition over a period of time. Doctors said Lauren also had several bruises on her body.
