New express lane under construction on I-465

INDIANAPOLIS—
Construction season starts Monday on one of the busiest intersections in central Indiana. INDOT will add more lanes on I-465 between U.S. 31 and I-69 on the northeast side.

During construction, crews will be adding an "express lane" for drivers heading east. Drivers in that lane won't be able to access the Keystone Avenue or Allisonville Road exits.

The year-long, $76 million project is part of the Major Moves program.
