The Indiana State Fair Commission announced Wednesday that additional money from the State Fair Relief Fund was distributed to victims of the Indiana State Fair tragedy.
The commission said an additional $114,301 from the fund went to the victims of the stage collapse on August 13. The payments will be the third round issued to eligible claimants.
Approximately $1.09 million has been contributed to the fund. The commission said the estates of deceased victims received a total of $68,241 from the fund and injured claimants received payments totaling $48,796 to $6,525. The amount received by the injured victims depended on the duration of their hospitalization.
Seven people were killed and dozens more were seriously injured when the stage at the fair collapsed prior to the Sugarland concert.
Last week, the Indiana State Fair Commission was issued fines totaling $6,300 after the results of an investigation into the Indiana State Fair tragedy was released.
Donations may still be made to the Remembrance Fund through the Central Indiana Community Foundation until Oct. 31, 2012.
