Rush Co. teen rescued near Flatrock River
A Rush County teenager, trapped in water, was rescued by emergency responders.

The 13 year-old boy got stuck in an overflow area near the Flatrock River on the east side of Rushville Sunday afternoon. Authorities say a friend called 911, but the cell phone died. Fortunately, dispatchers were still able to log the location.

The boy was able to pull himself onto a cement pad until rescue crews arrived.
