A judge will decide on the constutionality of Indiana's new school voucher program. A hearing was held Monday afternoon in Marion County Superior Court.
The judge will make a decision within 30 days. Both sides expect that decision to be appealed. The issue could even end up before the Indiana Supreme Court.
A group of teachers and religious leaders are challenging the law, claiming it's unconstitutional because it gives public dollars to religious institutions. The state claims the money isn't going directly to parochial schools.
Scholarship vouchers are given to parents who choose which schools their children will attend.
