Box truck, SUV accident restricts WB I-70

Three people escape with only minor injuries

Hendricks County, Ind.

An accident involving a box truck hauling paper products and an SUV restricted traffic on westbound I-70 early Thursday morning.

The crash happened about three miles west of State Road 267 around 1:15 a.m.

A female driver and infant passenger of the SUV were taken to Indianapolis area hospitals with minor injuries.

The male driver of the box truck was taken to Hendricks Regional Health with minor injuries.

Law enforcement on scene believes the SUV lost control and was struck on the driver's side by the box truck.

Westbound I-70 was closed temporarily around 2:30 a.m. Thursday so the vehicles could be removed from the ditch.
