State police need your help to solve a crime affecting one of their own. Wednesday afternoon, the home of ISP Detective Sam Stearly was burglarized in Clay County. The thief or thieves stole several guns, jewelry, state police uniforms, and a gun belt.

Among the guns stolen were two semi-automatic handguns. Both had Indiana State Police markings on them.

Det. Stearly's home in located south of Interstate 70 in east central Clay County. Troopers and detectives have combed the area and said they have received some leads, however, they want anyone with information to come forward.
