More portable toilets coming to Super Bowl Village

However, organizers are responding to one specific one issue: Not enough port-o-lets.
At a Tuesday morning press briefing, members of the Super Bowl Host Committee said they have heard the request from downtown visitors.
They said 86 additional port-o-lets will be delivered and installed downtown in time for Wednesday's opening. Currently, there are only 24 port-o-lets, in addition to several restroom trailers.
At the briefing, organizers said the downtown crowds have been slightly larger than their projections. As of Tuesday morning, an estimated 265,000 people had visited the Super Bowl Village, and more than 118,000 had been to the NFL Experience at the Convention Center.
Mild weather is seen as a contributing factor. President and CEO Allison Malangton said the conditions are nice, but a bit unusual after two years of cold weather planning.
"This morning I saw somebody walk by my office in shorts and flip flops," said Malangton. "It's not what we planned for, but we'll take it."
Warm weather is also contributing to large crowds on Monument Circle. Organizers said the circle may need to be closed to traffic from time to time over the next 48 hours.
A Pacers home game Tuesday night could also mean added congestion.
But the real traffic changes will occur on Friday, when downtown security begins to tighten further.
Details of those changes will be released in the next couple days.

Media kept encouraging locals to attend so we decided to. Bought tickets online two days before. Had a scheduled time of 3pm. Found out later that the scheduled time to arrive was pointless. Got my kids excited about going. Telling them that this was going to be a once in a lifetime experience. Day of the event spent $30 to park. Got right into the "Experience" event. Found out that they were letting everyone in regardless of scheduled times. Crowds inside were shoulder to shoulder. Then found out that in order to participate in activities we needed special wrist bands. This line was over one hour long. After getting wrist bands quickly realized that the lines for the activities were over an hour long. I felt completely taken advantage of. Kids were miserable and wanted to leave. Didn't get to participate in one activity. I felt horrible. Even the autograph lines and Lombardi trophy lines were hours long. Complete frustration and disapointment. Ironically the only area that we could access easily was the NFL shop where we bought tshirts. They made sure to make this area accessible. Then we left, angry and let down. Thanks NFL. Horrible "Experience"
