On Wednesday morning at approximately 7:10am, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of North Linwood on the report of shots fired.

The initial information was that two black males had shot up the house and fled in a white Chrylser Concord. While one officer was responding to the home, another officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of the wanted individuals near 34th and Emerson occupied by one black male.

It was verified the house had been shot up, with bullet holes in the windows, doors and siding, in addition to the car in the driveway. Nobody was hit. The reporting officer caught up to the officer with the Concord near 38th and Emerson and emergency lights were activated. The suspect fled east bound on 38th street and towards the Lawrence area. Officers lost sight of the vehicle, but the vehicle was soon spotted by Lawrence police who saw it crash into a couple of cars in the parking lot near Meadowlark and Maple Lane.

He was identified as Justin Covington, a 21 year old black male, 5'9", 155 lbs. The second suspect who fled in the vehicle reportedly goes by "Man Man." His first name may be Anthony or Antonio, last name unknown. He is a black male, approximately 5'7", 150 - 170 lbs., and was seen wearing a red shirt (which he discarded and was found by police), blue jeans, white air force tennis shoes and has a small afro.
