Kokomo Police have arrested a suspect in connection with four shootings which left one man dead and three others injured.
Police said they believe 36-year-old Turama Stitts acted alone in the crimes Wednesday and Thursday.
Officers responded to a possible battery investigation near Apperson and Taylor Streets Thursday afternoon. Upon arrival, police said they found 48-year-old Argena Williams suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Williams was taken to the hospital where he later died.
About 10 minutes later, police were called to the 400 block of North Purdum where they found 40-year-old Miriam Mallory suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Hours later, police responded to the 600 block of East Taylor where they found Ricky Patterson, 51, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Police were able to apprehend Stitts when they canvassed neighborhoods near Taylor Street.
The three shootings followed one Wednesday. Police were called to the 300 block of East Mulberry where they found 64-year-old David Gibson suffering from a gunshot wound to his head.
Stitts faces one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder. He is currently in custody at the Howard County Criminal Justice Center.

Duh, obviously the Super Bowl is more important than a crackhead on a shooting rampage. Crackheads shoot people everyday, we only get the Super Bowl in Indy once in a blue moon.

Why was this story not at the top of the 10pm Fox59 newscast tonight? Why is the Superbowl coverage more important than a murderous rampage in my old stomping grounds? Come on, priorities!
